RACE MISSION:

A fun event to promote physical activity while raising funds to support Deerwood Elementary School.  Our PTA aims to bring awareness and help find ways to reduce incidence of childhood and adult obesity in our community.

BENEFICIARY:

Race proceeds will support the educational programs of Deerwood Elementary School and provide funding for school improvement projects.

FOCUS ON KIDS:

The 5K includes a free Kids' Fun Run for children under age 12, and all participating children will receive an award in recognition of their effort.

FOCUS ON HEALTH:

There will also be a mini Health Information Expo, providing information on healthy living and disease prevention.  Participants of the Health Fair include many local health clinics and organizations.
